Judders Electrvm - Judders - 03-02-2020

A lot to work with on this one. Easy to take it in lots of different directions.

I went for a synth heavy vibe with Hans Zimmer at the end. Big Grin

sounds really clean. Made me judge my mix more harshly and go back. Really like the smoothness of the vocals overall, and the balance is really well maintained. I got some work to do!

You know what? I thought I'd finished, then I just stuck on Billy Eillish Bad Guy just to compare out of curiosity (because she's a pop phenomenon that even an old guy like me has heard of), and suddenly my mix sounded really harsh and nasty!

I quickly low-passed a bunch of stuff and took out high mids/low highs from the mix bus and added a little low shelf boost.

I still don't know if I de-essed the vocal too much. I find that really hard to judge.
