Virgin Voyage with Magilla - ChargrillB - 09-01-2020 Alright guys This is my first contribution to this little community so please go steady with me, not done anything very left-field with this, just tried to do as 'good' a mix as I can. Couldn't believe how creative you lot were getting with it when I had a listen through some of your mixes! I'll be stepping out the box on my next one for definite. I'd love to know what you think! Thanks. RE: Virgin Voyage with Magilla - Friggy - 09-01-2020 Everything sounds pretty good, bass has a cool tone and weight to it, snare has a nice crack and the drums stay punchy. Just two things I think could help. When the guitars are doing the pinch harmonic part, they sound a little closed off. A bit of a nasally sound in there. Maybe something around 300-500hz to be taken out, and a boost in the treble or presence range. And I think the sax can have something a little more done to it, to make it stand out more and be a bigger sound. It sits back a little and doesn't sound as important as it maybe should. |
