One minute smile - davedebv - 07-09-2019 That mix was kind of challenging, but I did the best I can ! RE: One minute smile - mikej - 07-09-2019 Hi! Overall a good effort I think. Yeah I also found this a challenging mix. Nice drums, and the guitars have a good tone and feel. I also really like the vocal delay at 1:55. Wish I had thought of doing that, it works really well to give the track a nice lift at that point. For me the vocals and possibly the kick perhaps get a touch buried in the mix at times, and also I think the tambourine part is possibly a bit loud when it comes in around 0:36? I think everything sounds ok though, eq wise. This is definitely a tough mix to get the volume balance right on. One trick I picked up from the example mix was that if you lower the volume of the vocal intro, it can seem to give things a bit more impact when the guitars and drums and the rest of the track kicks in, which might be worth a try. Anyway, just my thoughts. RE: One minute smile - davedebv - 07-09-2019 Thanks, good idea for the intro ! |
