Fruition-Santa Fe Update - TheNeverScene - 27-05-2019 Here's my shot. Tried to keep things pretty as is. Really like the track, so hope I didn't botch it too bad. Thanks for listening and feedback is more than welcome. Cheers! Mix 2: Various eq tweaks to help rid some low mid build up and boxiness. Some minor volume automation. Mix 3: Worked on guitar tone and brought in the panning some. Little less verb on main vox. RE: Fruition-Santa Fe Update - Mark M.O.T.D. - 05-02-2020 The vocals sound lovely , the drums sound good (personally I would have had a little bit more snare) the bass would (imho ) benefit from stronger transients. the guitars ( particularly the chops ) are somewhat bright ,thin and over reverbed (again imho ) overall many good ideas ,I always like to return to a mix after a few days/listens and I have a feeling this mix would have benefitted from the same , would still like to know how you sweetened the vocals so , though. A.T.B. Mark p.s. listened to first version AFTER writing the above , the guitars are sweet it's always good to experiment but personally I like your first mix though the second version aced the vocals, a tad too much 'verb (as you pointed out ) on the first mix . |
