All the Gin is gone - ArieHerz mix - ArieHerz - 18-05-2019 My first experience of mixing a jazz instrumental RE: All the Gin is gone - ArieHerz mix - Dangerous - 19-05-2019 Sounds really nice, great balance and sonics. Just finding the stereo piano confusing the overall sound image as far as the performance goes. Enjoyable listen regardless. RE: All the Gin is gone - ArieHerz mix - ArieHerz - 19-05-2019 Thank you for the feedback, Dangerous! Take 2 - with a "narrowed" piano RE: All the Gin is gone - ArieHerz mix - Dangerous - 20-05-2019 I like the focus much better in this second pass. I think you could bring the piano forward in the mix and brighten it up a bit more though. Even if you can try and match it tonally to the brass. Mono-ing it has perhaps had the negative effect of darkening it a little. RE: All the Gin is gone - ArieHerz mix - ArieHerz - 21-05-2019 Here is the 3rd take I've added some high freqs and a bit of saturation to piano to brighten it. |
