Pray for the Rain - Retchid Gretchin - 03-03-2019

Very Nice Track

90% of this track was processed using Plug in Alliance SSL G channel strip (was fortunate enough to get it for £50 today), Tape machine (Slate) on all channels + SSL native vocal channel (live preset modified). Used Slate grey + SSL G channel strip on the groups. just 1db or so compression.

A little bit SSSSSy but did not want to go in and edit it down (even after turning Desser up on the vocal plug in) but hey it adds a little character.

Main challenge is the amount of backing vocals drowning out the drums got around this by using own drum room sent all drums, after turning send volumes down appropriately for each item, to drum room (SSLVerb used for the reverb) and cranked up the volume + sent the Parallel compressed drums to same room + cranked up the reverb on the snare.

Due to track number linits the sparkley guitar was panned slight left (maybe 50 or less) and sent to reverb which was panned far right (gives it a slight Scorpions ballad sound) also did this for other sparlkies. - turned out nice
