Hannes Keseberg - @TheIvanEffect - TheIvanEffect - 17-01-2019 Had some fun with this. It was recorded okay, gave me a little challenge. Vox needed a bunch of automation, I think that's really the biggest thing I had to deal with. I didn't want my compressor all over the place, ya know? AutoPan is also a really good friend of mine. Since I'm in Atlanta, I usually work with HipHop/RnB, so AutoPan is good for AdLibs, but it works so brilliantly with mono instruments that shouldn't stay in one place. I wish there were two of the Ska guitars - Ivan RE: Hannes Keseberg - @TheIvanEffect - Roy - 17-01-2019 It feels pretty good overall. I find the panning guitar distracting. At least on headphones. It might be more subtle over speakers. Once the piano comes in the center of the image becomes a little more grounded and the effect works better. I also find the vocal delay a little distracting too but I've had a lot of trouble finding a vocal delay for this song that I like so maybe I'm just sensitive to it. Solo guitar is a little loud in the 2nd Chorus and takes the spotlight away from the vocal. The tom in the bridge pops out a bit too much. Other than that it all works. Tonally it feels well balanced. Good job. |
