Here's My Take On It - darell.clark - 19-12-2018 I have nearly no experience with mixing these kinds of vocals, so I would like some input on how to make them better. I can't tell if the rest of the mix seems too compressed or not. Input is encouraged! RE: Here's My Take On It - deadislandrecords - 19-12-2018 With metal, generally try and make use of those "machine gun" kick samples to really let the kick groove cut through the guitars in the 2-5k range. As for the vocals, distortion is always a great option - with an addition of a little widening especially if only one take was done (like in this song) using maybe a stereo slap with controlled pan. Overall definitely sounds beefy, although I personally would look to hear more in the mid-high range for a song like this. |
