P’alante! I enjoyed like a toddler mixing this überNewYorker of a song, Alynda is the real thing!
Drums were so well played, but they sounded too KeithUrban kind of expensive for me! Took me some time and replacement work in order to make them look smaller and grittier. I didn’t use the OH’s at all, instead I boosted the hat track thru the ride parts and added a tambourine to open up the stereo.
Wondering what had I swapped the panning of the guitars, but I didn’t wanted a panned solo.
Hope you like it, but let me know if you don't anyway.

i do like Deliza. Great stylistic choices. Compared to the reference track (that's only one we have at the moment) You have turned the attention to the guitars and away from the drums, which for me is rhythmically better supporting and fitting. Just seems to give it more drive and urgency overall that makes it sound more natural with a lovely cohesion.
I just enjoyed this and didn't really think to be critical of anything. The mix allowed me to purely immerse myself within the music.

Thanks Dave, indeed the drums from the preview mix are impressive and beautiful souding (and I couldn't get that sound even if I tried), but again, this tune asked me for something more humble.
This is a seriously kick ass band and their last album is one of the best I've heard recently. Funny enough, the track in the album is a pretty different arrangement.

I was stunned when I saw these tracks, Im a big fan of Alynda's and the band. The P'alante release video is amazing, such and emotional ride.
I think you achieved your goal, sounds good!! The only thing that caught me off guard were the BGV's stacked on the right, but seemed to work ok.

I was gonna say that BGV's made up of two harmonized parts don't work well when panned, but then I listened to your mix and you made it work somehow! Still, since I was going for a Velvet Underground feel, monoing the BGV's felt the way to go for me, though now you're making me think what if they were panned center.

Sounds great, but I do find the BGV's jumping out of the left speaker a bit distracting! Some bass notes are poking out due to how you've EQ'd it too.
