Motor Tapes- 'Shore' Mix - TrueNorthStudios - 26-10-2018 Hey Everyone! Here is my mix of Motor Tapes-'Shore' This is a great song, and I had a lot of fun mixing it. I experimented with using multiple compressors on the bass bus, and think I got a pretty cool sound out of it. Id love to hear any comments or feedback. Very balanced, clear, yet natural sounding. The only things I noticed were - The vocals tend to be a little bit too sibilant (If you have the Slate bundle Eiosis Deesser is awesome for gentle deessing). - The singer's breaths need attention - they are tending to be overly loud and make him sound a bit like he's gasping at times. - The floor tom section of the song is a little messy. It could use tightening up in the lows/low mids for a little more definition during that part. Nice work! |
