I'm Alright - my mix (please critique) - joseal182 - 30-08-2018

This is the first mix I've done since I finished reading the mixing secrets book. Overall I'm happy with the result but I'm open to any observation/critique you may have

Nothing to criticize. Sounds brilliant. Just did a quick 14 LUFS mastering in attachment! ;-)

I think you have some mix problems. At first, leveling: The percussion is too loud and the e-guitar is way too quiet (not the solo guitar). Just to mention two of them ...

Furthermore the vocals should be more featured. This is Pop (Rock) and the lead vocals are the most important thing.
And you could use the whole panning width. Wink

Not mature for a serious mastering yet (and not ouf an MP3 file, please ...), IMHO.

Edit
The tambourine needs some level correction via EQ on the percussion track, I think (like I did in my mix). Otherwise it's too loud.
