Back From The Start - Goldfain Mix - Goldfain - 30-08-2013

Hey guys, here's my mix. Still without low tom track - Mike told he'd take care of it as soon as he can.

Unfortunately, the male and female vocals are bounced to one track in the original multitrack recording. With separated tracks it would be much easier to mix.

I also pasted some backing vocals from the chorus to the beginning of the song. This is the hook-line and the most remarkable sound of the song, I wanted it to be the first impression.

I'll appreciate your feedback, guys!

Thx

S

Now as i said i worked with a mix of this aswell. I did a really different approach to what parts should be loud etc, so im getting quiet the uneasy feeling listening to yours because it conflicts so much with my version. I think it sounds a bit dull and first i would raise the volume on the hats and shakers a bit to give a bit more of dat high frequency. I would also turn down the volume on that piano, or try to put it a bit further back in the mix. But everyone has their own taste so Wink

Thanx, Jonas! You're right, there's been some muddiness in the mix, it came mainly from the main vocals reverb and snare. EQing helped. Also I made OH a bit louder. Here's the new one Smile

Have a nice weekend!
