MERC Music - Knockout - 2nd site mix - schwiz - 08-07-2018

These are by far some of the most fun multi's to mix that are available on this site. Very well recorded and edited tracks which include lots of layers. I had a ton of fun mixing this track.

If you have some feedback on this, I'd love to hear it. I have been mixing rock and metal mostly for the last couple years so it was fun to do something different.

Awesome job mixing this track. It's interesting to hear your approach on mixing hip-hop as somebody who works on rock and metal. I like that the beat is very powerful and the tuba/brass is upfront. Personally, I would probably raise the vocals about 3-4 decibels overall, though. I also made a version of this mix and it was difficult to make the vocals pop through.

the vocals are buried in a sea of frequency masking and the lead vocals are cut too much and thus sound thin. try a vocal parallel to help keep the low end of the vocal intact while still getting them to pop out. right now they sound thin and essy
