Only two effects for the mix: Tape Delay and Echo Chamber. Mixed in one hour and 20 minutes RE: Enda Reilly: 'An Nasc Nua' - thedon - 19-04-2018 Enjoyed your mix translates well on my monitors , Good example of less is more and talented mixing ! Thank you so much thedon. I started doing these small challenges to try to practice mixing like the old folks did. Not too much technology just fader moves and some sparse effects. I am realizing how much I love the natural dynamics of instruments and voice, specially in these well recorded tracks. I feel the mixes are more open and hi-fi now that I don't use compressor plugins. I may end up using compressors as a last resource or just for coloration after I finish with these mini challenges. I invite you to try this self imposed challenges and you may like it and learn from it. Take care and keep on mixing.
