Arise - Run Run Run - FXOjafar's stoner mix - FXOjafar - 04-08-2013

One for stoners. Plenty of reverb, delays (I was missing a good analogue delay) and I made use of the multiple layers of vocals sometimes panned and pulled back to whisper in your ear.

So many different versions of this mix in the forum! No two are alike. And it was thoroughly enjoying to do.

DAW: Reason 7
Headphones: Sony MDR-XB900

Nice mix. Maybe a little too much of the delay effects, but really nice concept. I have no idea what a "stoner mix" is - probably has to do with the delays?

Regards,
Steffen

The delays are borrowed from the dub reggae style. Stoners are people who smoke a bit of spliff which is often tied to the reggae scene Smile The delays and the "whispering" vocal tracks would appear to them.

Ex-stoner muso here Wink
