My first mix here - audio2u - 05-02-2018 Hi all, Just found the site, and love the concept. This is my first mix here. Thoughts on the track... Good easy-going pop/rock track. Probably more guitars than it needed, but I used 'em all anyway. Kept the drums fairly dry. Coloured the bass a little bit as I felt the amp version was maybe just a bit too 'warm'. Lead vocal 1 got some eq, compression and exciter (via Neutron). The rap vocal I thinned out quite a bit, plus added a bit of a delay. Backing vocals also got Neutron, thinned out and compressed hard so they sat in their place. Master buss got a very light dose of some CLA3A compression, a hint of Ozone Exciter, and a touch of L1+ Ultramaximizer to bring the level up so I got -14 LUFS average across the song. That's how I would deliver it if it was going to a mastering house. Keen to hear your thoughts. Cheers, Bruce. |
