One Day MIx - Hold On You - maxsnet - 25-12-2017 Spent the day on it. Struggled with the snare, and with the kick too actually. Fixed timing of the drums and the voice (but did not fixed tonality...). Did not work a lot on the guitars. Worked a lot on the voice but the result is not excellent. Add fun with parallel compression! RE: One Day MIx - Hold On You - takka360 - 25-12-2017 At 0.57 it sounds like a bad edit. Balance sounds ok. That snare you will never sort out its the recording . I think your timing correction is a bit all over the place from 2.25 its everywhere RE: One Day MIx - Hold On You - maxsnet - 25-12-2017 Hi Takka thank you for your reply! Indeed I think I lost myself at some point with my timing edits of the voice... Time and tune edit of voices is one of my weakest point. Definitly got to work on that. For the snare I wonder if a good way to get out of it would be to replace it ? Cheers! Max RE: One Day MIx - Hold On You - Voelund - 09-01-2018 For the snare I choose to use samples of itself to fix the bad places. It turned out ok I think Your mix is very obviously different from the original, and Im sorry to say not for the better. Had this been a rap or pop song the edits maybe would fit the genre Listnin somewhere 2.40ish edit is very off timewise. Also the eq to my taste and for the genre is very smileycurve, too much top and bottom. On the positive side it is not squashed, thats good in my book. thx for the listen |
