Marcus Boeltz: Shut Up And Play (Robert's Mix) - Robert - 19-10-2017 Another flashback to the wonderful music of the 70's. All comments welcome. RE: Marcus Boeltz: Shut Up And Play (Robert's Mix) - thedon - 20-10-2017 Hi Robert . Sounds Great good job with the drums i like them a lot ,I Don't hear the upper frequencies competing for space as i can hear in my mix also the guitar sole sounds great too ! Nice one . Cheers RE: Marcus Boeltz: Shut Up And Play (Robert's Mix) - Robert - 20-10-2017 Thanks for the kind words, Don. The drum tracks were very well recorded and nice 'room' options were available to get the right blend. I used Softube's Drawmer 1973 compressor on the overheads to catch some of the snare transients that were a bit overpoweing; generally just adding a small boost to the 200-350Hz area and attenuating the top-end spikes by about 2dB. Other than that, it's a very minimalist mix; just EQ and a little tickle of compression on the guitar solo + some reverb. |
