A lovely live ambiance that translates well. I'm hearing some great improvements in your mixes of late. Well Done Yoshi! RE: Scar-Yoshi-Mix - Yoshi Nishikawa - 13-10-2017 Hi Dave How are you Mixing of acoustic music is difficult I think the same as making a short film I am learning to express stories by lyrics and Instruments performances It is very difficult. Thank you for listening Yoshi RE: Scar-Yoshi-Mix - mtbarba - 22-01-2019 In general, your balance in the instrumental section is actually pretty good in my opinion! The vocal balance could use work...part of which could be solved by listening a little more closely to some of the nasty/offensive frequencies in the lower-mids on the lead vocal in particular that are jumping out and creating a lot of "mud" This can open things up and make the overall "vision" a little clearer to your ears. I'd recommend referencing the track on any other speakers you have, as using earbuds can often deceive your ears when listening critically to these types of subtleties. If you don't have studio monitors yet: car speakers, bookshelf/computer speakers, over-ear headphones will you give you a useful new perspective. |
