Burning bridges - DAA2 Mix - daa2bg - 01-09-2017 Hi, I played some more time with this. I am just a beginner and I would love some feedback from the community. Great site! RE: Burning bridges - DAA2 Mix - jaykay - 12-09-2017 Hi! Guitars are thin, bass is really mid-rangey, kick drum lacks impact and is hardly audible. Vocals are really loud in the screamy part. If you haven't, try making a copy of the bass, low-pass the copy at 100-150hz, compress the poop out of it so it's a very even low tone, then high-pass the original at 400-600hz and bus them together. You can try distorting the high-passed bass to make it more audible. Kick drum usually likes boosts at 60hz and 8khz and a cut somewhere around 250-500hz Let the song play as you boost and cut and listen to what's happening. High-pass the guitars only as much as needed, let them blend together with the bass a little. Be brave and do huge cuts and boosts, if necessary, though... go +18dB if the kick 8khz needs it, no-one's going to die. |
