First Mix Feedback - Alexiou981 - 12-08-2017 Hi everyone, I just finished my first mix and although I have followed the whole process of the book till the end. However, I decided to upload the Dry version of the track (without any reverbs, delay, stereo expanders etc.) since the Wet version seemed to be much worse than the first one. RE: First Mix Feedback - LukasL - 12-08-2017 Hey Alexiou, nice first mix. Suggestions: - Push back the vocal a bit more, I think the track would have more intensity if it sounded like the singer really had to work to be heard over the guitars. - Also automate it so that the loud parts are a bit quieter. - Guitars sound very "cleaned-up" which is good, but I think more fullness (lows/low-mids) would help to make it feel really heavy. - Panning on the Drums is wierd. Ride pretty much in the center, toms all over the place. I would try recreating a real drumset, either from Drummers or Audiences POV. - Bass is audible but not really distinct. Would like more definition. - Also uplaod the Wet version aswell please. Lukas RE: First Mix Feedback - Alexiou981 - 12-08-2017 Thanks for that Lukas. http://discussion.cambridge-mt.com/showthread.php?tid=19888 Here's the wet version as well. Please let me know in which one I should apply the changes according to the feedback you gave me. Alex |
