Some Trashy Trash, I Guess Mix - fjuarez3 - 08-08-2017

Here is my mix, I used a Slayer tune as a reference but I did add more volume. I didn't push too hard but it still has a punch. Enjoy and leave feedback if you have some.

Cheers,

Frank

Hey Frank,

powerful mix you have going on there!

Suggestions:
- The drums are pumping quite a bit, kinda fits the style but its too much for me. (Not sure which compressor it is though, but sound like the mix bus comp)
- The L and R main Guitar sound pretty thick, but also a bit "cheap" to me. Could it be that you have used some Room Reverb? I would maybe try a diffrent Reverb simulation.
- Also the Guitars are just slightly too loud for me and the punch of the drums doesnt really carry through, I would back of the limiter so the drums get room to hit ya in da face Wink
- I can hear the bass (which is great) but it doesnt really cut through. I would suggest some parallel proccecing with lots of compression and distortion and then blend between the two.
- The end is very abrupt, I would try to not cut off the tail.

P.S.: What did you do to those Guitars? Mine sound pretty weak all the time Sad
