Maurizio Pagnutti Sextet, All The Gin - ALX - 05-04-2017

This was a very intense Mix as far as decision making. Panning and balancing the frequency spectrum across the stereo field was a challenge. I tried many different layouts and this one had the most impact and punch. Let me know what you think, good or bad. Any criticism is good criticism. That's how we all get better.

Cheers

Hi ,
Nice mix !
The piano sounds louder than the rest of the instruments ,I add a subtle room reverb to the entire mix for some depth.
That's more of a taste thing.

Cheers

You are correct. I did the final tweaks last night on headphones and could clearly hear the piano sticking out while listening on my monitors today. I had to rebalance the mix and tweak the reverbs. Still a little dryer than usual. Not very fond of having the instruments swimming in reverb. Thanks for listening and pointing the piano out.

Cheers
