Motor Tapes - Remix - New Bassline - rattleshock - 25-02-2017

This song is fantastic. I spent the last 3 hours experimenting with fader balance and panning. The final mix has one reverb and one delay, which are mostly feeding the lead vocal. My only 'consumer' complaint was that the bass line didn't drive the song like I felt it should. So, I grabbed my Fender Precision and redid the bass line in hopes of keeping the essence of the song, but trying to lock in the drive and momentum that I felt was lost during the repetitive little 'bass runs'. I know traditional mixing is working with the supplied audio, but in this case, I felt it needed to go to another level. Hope you guys like it. All comments and criticisms are welcome.

Some notes for my approach:

Didn't use the doubled vocal at all
Opted to not use the rim/cym/tamb/OD tracks
No room mics, only the OH mics were used
For the intro guitar, I used a pumping compressor effect to give it some motion

Cheers, and hope you all have a fantastic weekend!
