AMContra -- HeartPeripheral (Phil_The_Rodent mix) - Phil_The_Rodent - 08-09-2016 First attempt at this type of up-beat electronica style, so I might be totally off-base, but I hope not. I saw the MIDI files so I decided to go a bit more wild with the sound reinforcement this time and just have fun with it. Generally I tried to keep any additions pretty subtle (except for the pipe organ I guess, which pokes out a bit more). Specifically, I added an arp to the chorus pad to give it a little sparkle, I added a second stab sound about an octave above the first, which comes in a bit later to reinforce it. I added another e-kick to solidify everything a bit more. And then the pipe organ in the middle 8, and a siren-y riser thing in the final chorus set just to make it a bit more exciting. The siren was my own creation -- it didn't come from existing MIDI parts, I just wanted to hear it. Oh, and I vinylized the drum fills, so I added the appropriate dust samples. Hope you enjoy it. Thanks for listening. |
