PRAY FOR THE RAIN - Rick_6428 - 12-08-2016 THIS IS A RE-DO OF MY FIRST ATTEMPT. FIRST WITH MY ADDED HARMONY ON SECOND LEAD. THEN JUST THE ORIGINAL TRACKS PLEASE LEAVE SOME COMMENTS. THANKS RE: PRAY FOR THE RAIN - ThomasStevenson - 26-08-2016 Hi Rick Thanks for mixing the track ! I had fun listening to your guitar additions as well. Harmony parts too. I liked many of your level decisions - seemed like a good balance of the elements. I have a couple of The drums seem to have some kind of slapback on them - notably snare/kick/toms. Was this intentional? It may be a taste comment, but it distracts a bit from the impact I think. EQ balance - overall the low end felt light. If you look at MikeS's approach to the bass in the Mix Rescue article (March 2015), that may help you out. Since you are a Cubase user, you may want to try downloading and checking out the actual Cubase project from Mike on this site - I have learned a ton from the project file itself. Thanks again and thanks for mixing ! Thomas RE: PRAY FOR THE RAIN - Rick_6428 - 13-10-2016 Thomas, thank you for all your comments. I tried to bring up the low end, and lessen the delay on the drums. I would like to hear if you think it improved. Thanks again Rick |
