New mix - Shiny Dog - 05-08-2016 Comments welcome, this may be quitter then others has I tend to master around 12 LUFS RE: New mix - Busoni - 05-08-2016 Hello Shiny Dog! Here are some thoughts: - a little too much verb on the vocals, at least for this genre - the buildup is getting squashed by the master compressor - guitars sit good - kick is also very good, considering the recording wasn't so great - i like the background vocal/lead vocal balance And generally compression is pumping, especially on the drum bus. RE: New mix - Shiny Dog - 07-08-2016 Hi Busoni, thanks for taking time to comment. I agree with you about the Vocal Fx . I was heavy handed with the compression because it seemed to add excitement to the track but I might have over done it. I will give this a couple of week then go and listen with fresh ears. |
