Galias - Horizon - juanjose1967 - 27-06-2016

Here's my mix. I've done plenty of automation (more than usual) but somehow this melody was inspiring me Smile

As usual, any advice for improvement will be welcomed!

Hi Juan
Its a pleasure to hear how you keep mixin and gettin better at it
I think you have developed a kind of signature Sound
I like it
I have no suggestion
Good work

Smooth overall sound. I like it.

Maybe a bit too much added effects to already good sounding melody tracks. It might work better, if the melody is introduced first with ”purer” tracks, and after that you could introduce variations to the original sound.

I think the low-rumble bass track is too loud in the beginning. I feel it makes out-of-tune effects with busy melody bass track now.

Overall the balances are okay, but the automation on the keys was very much overdone and distracting. The effects on the lead are phasy and weird, and remove the power the lead has as your in front, middle of the stereo field, and mid prominent lead line. The track does have good cohesion though, and comes together nicely.
