Zeno 'Signs' - Troy's 4 hour mix - TroyG - 21-06-2016

Hello all:

Feedback would be very great. So far this mix sounds good on 4 systems. The vocals are a bit tricky to get under control, and flow with the mix. Some De-essing was in the works, but by doing that, you have to control the highs of the other instruments to get the vocals to pop through. I could mix for longer, but my ears start to lying to me after about 4 hours.

Troy G.

Wanting to mix this song now, liking a lot of what youre doing. The chorus feels kind of muddy to me, id be looking suspiciously at some of the effects settings, cause the song seems to open up a lot when the arrangement is less dense. I think amount of reverb on the lead vocal could use some fader rides, theres parts like on the really high notes where its just glorious, but it feels a little too much. Maybe bounce out the reverb and ride it, less on the faster lyrics and then letting it ring on the sustains.
