Promises and Lies - Testing new Slate Plugins - Fru Kitaar - 27-05-2016

Hey guys.
As said in the title, I used this mix to test the new Slate Plugins. (I really love his plugins and no, I am not an employee of him Wink )
I used the new 1176 Rev. A plugin quite prominently;especially on vocals, gosh I love how it helps the vocals cut through.
But enough free advertising Wink

I tried to go for a quite polished sound that you find pretty often in this Hard Rock/Heavy Metal context.

But I ran into one problem, which is qute common in my mixes. I think the snare doesn't sound good. It doesn't cut through as I want it to and it's not as big and punchy as I like it. Can you guys give me any tips regarding this issue?

Thanks in advance
Fru

Very good sound on this mix, it feels like a live sound mix because of the great ammount of lows and a little lack of mids. Also it has a nice dynamic range.
