Lead Inc: 'Way Of Life' - thedon - 22-05-2016 Here is Version 1 of this great song (after about 20 mixdownds lol ) Thanks to the band for the multitracks. Any advice welcome as usual Cheers RE: Lead Inc: 'Way Of Life' - Konek - 22-05-2016 Hello!)) I was impressed by the song! Sounds solid and clean! But sometimes it's very clean, i mean delayed guitars. Cheers RE: Lead Inc: 'Way Of Life' - thedon - 22-05-2016 (22-05-2016, 10:20 AM)Konek Wrote: Hello!)) I was impressed by the song! Cheers RE: Lead Inc: 'Way Of Life' - takka360 - 22-05-2016 Not keen on the snare the verb is making it very distant and thin . Toms sound a bit too wide also panning wise . Cheers RE: Lead Inc: 'Way Of Life' - Shul - 23-05-2016 Hello Don Overall I think this is good but can be improved. *Mix is rather thin sounding. perhaps a bit more mids will help to get a better body/fullersound on it. *Only separation I hear is on the toms, which I believe that's why takka feels they are so separate from the snare and kick. Everything else is centered and I feel your mix is drowning. Perhaps that's why you boosted some highs here and there? *Bass has some fret noise here and there. Unless you purposely eq'ed it like that? But it jumps out in my opinion. *Vocals sound nice and clean *at 1:51 it lacks the power I would have wanted from those guitars. perhaps a boost in volume? or more fullness in the eq. or both. Not an easy mix if you ask me but I think you are on the right track. Hope this helps. Cheers . RE: Lead Inc: 'Way Of Life' - Dangerous - 25-05-2016 I'm interested to hear what you come up with in Version#2 Don. There's quite a lot to like with this mix. I really like the overall density and saturation you have achieved. I'm also diggin' the snare. There are parts where it could do with some extra "200hz" but then the song heats up I think it's sounding pretty good as it is. This song sounds quite climatic and I think will demand a lot of automation to exploit it fully. I will stay tuned. I am working on version 2 ,will try not just level automation but also frequency automation especially on the snare great idea. Thanks RE: Lead Inc: 'Way Of Life' - Lethan - 26-05-2016 Hey Don, nice work Really like it, listend whole song Perhaps drums need more work to get better driving. It could be matter of taste Cheers! |
