Bolz & Knecht: 'Brahms's 'Hungarian Dance No. 5' mix - Jimdolorian - 10-05-2016 Hi, I gave it a go. Let me know what you think =). RE: Bolz & Knecht: 'Brahms's 'Hungarian Dance No. 5' mix - Dangerous - 11-05-2016 Hello Jimdolorian, You've done a nice job with this one. I'm wondering if you have panned the Di and guitar mic the same. The guitar sounds like it's moving around a bit (jumping slightly to the left occasionally) when listening through headphones. I feel you could also try a transient shaper of sorts just to soften the attack of the guitar a little. This is just a minor thing, though. Well Done RE: Bolz & Knecht: 'Brahms's 'Hungarian Dance No. 5' mix - Lammy - 12-05-2016 (10-05-2016, 04:09 AM)Jimdolorian Wrote: Hi, I second the suggestion of transient shaping on the guit, that I also applied. I'm not really convinced of: - the choice on the sound stage: the sax sitting right panned - a matter of taste - but in the back with its own reverb mostly right panned. the sound stage is a little weird with the guit near in the stage in cent-left position and some right oscillation while the sax nearly all to the right - and back. - less relevant but still with only 2 instruments...: the eq of the sax may be a little brighter. The tenor has by nature some fabulously sounding harmonics that can be definitely extracted from this track. I hope this helps. cheers |
