So this is my first post on this forum, and really the first time I've shared anything I've mixed. I do live sound for a living so I do have some idea what I'm doing, but I have also learned that this is a much different animal. When I first got out of school it was my dream to make records, but it's a really tough industry to get into and the bills need to get paid and blah blah...
Anyway I bought myself a set of Yamaha HS-8s a few weeks ago and stumbled upon this awesome site so I've been giving myself a week per song, and I'm going to start posting them in the hopes that some good constructive criticism will make me a better mixer. I think this is a great place for that, and I'm glad to have found it.
And with that, have at it folks, go ahead and rip it up. I can take it.
I'm not exactly thrilled with it, but it is the first one that I would even have bothered to share...we've all got to start somewhere, right?
