Neon Hornet - Take It Off (Andrew Scheps Parallel Comp) - alexnewman - 28-02-2016

Experiment with parallel compression.

I watched an interview where Andrew Scheps mentioned he almost entirely uses parallel compression and blends in the original uncompressed track. This sounded interesting and made sense to me as you can get "punch" and "snap" from say a snare drum but still retain the original attack and dynamic range of the uncompressed snare.

Anyway I could go on about it and what I did etc. but I'm lazy.

So have a listen if you like and see what you think.

... Mastered version will come soon.

Thanks! I recommend giving the technique a go! Especially on Drums and Vocals.
