Sleep By THE Fire, Bloom in Water - Nitrousbob - 10-01-2016 my mix of the Forkupine song, would love to hear input, i know its not the brightest mix, that is intentional but hopefully not bad dull. cheers! RE: Sleep By THE Fire, Bloom in Water - azwayne - 11-01-2016 I think perhaps this sort of effect goes over better if the prominent bits (the guitar up front, the vocals, cymbals, kick) are a little brighter to fill in the space you left by cutting that elsewhere. It also helps the listener's ears not feel like there's something missing. RE: Sleep By THE Fire, Bloom in Water - Nitrousbob - 11-01-2016 Thanks for the information, I made some adjustments. RE: Sleep By THE Fire, Bloom in Water - wurstdrummer - 14-01-2016 Wow, your second mix is nice. That bass sound is awesome. The snare could cut through a bit more, but apart from that I like your mix. Keep it up! RE: Sleep By THE Fire, Bloom in Water - Nitrousbob - 14-01-2016 Thanks everyone for all the great input, i made a final version trying to get in all those thoughts. And thanks for posting the tracks to practice with, greatly appreciated. RE: Sleep By THE Fire, Bloom in Water - azwayne - 15-01-2016 The reverb on that hi-hat up front is perfect. Nice kick sound, too. Good and tight and definitely there but not excessively up front as tends to happen on some of my mixes (because I really like a good beater sound). |
