I have to say this entire session sounds like fake everything.
I tried to add as much realism as possible to liven the mix.
The guitars sound like they are run from a Boss Metalzone directly into the DAW.
The Drms are super dead and sound like samples.
The bass was fine, uh no! The bass had lots of artifacts from being played with a pick so there is a lot of clicking and scrapping noises throughout the track.
The vocals lack energy as a result of poor delivery/cookie monster/whisper style.
The piano was dull and almost un-necessary.
The clean gtr was overly bright and harsh.
I used a mix of ITB and OTB techniques to get this mix to be acceptable and Im a little surprised with the results, I think that is sounds much better than when I found it.
