Fredy V Not Alone by Draper - loweche6 - 03-01-2016

I mixed this in Harrison using only their plugins (didn't buy them, but you can still control their values in the channel strip).

I think I like the vibe and energy I got out of this mix.

Yea?

Hey Draper ,
Lovely mix ,Great use of effects, the organ sounds a touch upfront ,maybe just needs a 2-3 db dip in the 200-300hz area. Also the Hi hat is jumping out of the mix
Just some personal preference thoughts while listening.
Nice job Big Grin

Little touch up based on your review!

Thanks for your input Don!

RE: Fredy V Not Alone by Draper - Bereket - 06-01-2016

Hi loweche6, You have a lovely mix going on. here are some stuff that i would love to mention your piano and Gitars are disappear when the music started building up. make them shine. They are like four instruments right? try to make them big but the biggest enemy in this song in general is phase issue and be very careful with that. I started listening so many mixes and I was so confused by choice of spaces cause I believe you are the only person who decided to bring guitar front. Thumbs up with that. It is not a rocket science anybody who noticed a drum bleed doesn't put instruments either left or right. I have started mixing this song I will gladly put it as reference my working progress mix. Happy Mixing!

Hey Draper
Listening to mix 2 sounds really good ,the is organ sitting nicely ,I agree with bereket the piano and guitar being a touch soft when the music builds up especially in the chorus .

Cheers Big Grin

Another touch up, with my friend Justin just giving me a few pointers while I mixed. Mixed in Harrison.

I think guitar and such are a lot more prominent in the bridge now.

Hope you all enjoy!

hey Draper
I Love the full punchy warm sound of mix 3 ,the piano and guitars sound much fuller and the hi hat is sitting much better now.
Excellent Job ,Maybe just a touch hot as can hear some clipping on the kick or toms especially at 1.11 and 1.22 but still enjoyed listening.

CheersBig Grin

I like Mix 3 and that's definitely the Harrison.. I installed Mixbuss 3 and plan to get into it also.

Great mix, man
To my ears, needs just a tiny touch less low end in the kick, and less carving the mids out of the vocals
cheers

Hey,

the mix sounds a little bright to me. Overheads on the drums could be a little farther back just attenuated in the high end. Vocals seem a bit too much upfront and again a little the bright side. I like your snare drum. Good punch and reverb.

Best regards,
