Tears In The Rain - Hurling Mix - hurling - 26-11-2015 This one provided some interesting challenges in that the drums as presented were very programmed and it was necessary to get some life into them. I used a console plugin (Kramer HLS), a DBX 165 plugin, and some TrueVerb. To get a groove going with the bass I used a combination of dynamic EQ and compression with a slow attack and recovery. The dynamic EQ acted like a preamp/amp which gave the bass some drive that was lacking. I re-amped the electric guitars with clean Fenders, some EQ, and a bit of verb. The verb also has a bit of delay on it. It's subtle and just seemed to add a little more width. The acoustics have some EQ tweaks and a little room verb. The Nylon also has a bit of EQ on it but no verb. I did use a L1 on it to knock down the peaks in a few spots. The master buss has a little mastering compression and a L1 which only hits a couple of times. Enjoy the mix. |
