Is You Is Or Is You Ain't - hurling - 23-10-2015

The toms took a lot of work on this track. The bass also required some manipulation to get it to sit reasonably well. I used about 2/3 of the DI and 1/3 of the bass amp.

The piano was slightly compressed and then compressed again for some added width in the track. Overheads are panned hard left and right with a drastic EQ curve to leave mostly the cymbals.

The mix has a lot more compression on it than I would normally use on a jazz arrangement but in this case it seemed to work.
