Firstly I wanted to mention that I really love this song and would like to thank the band (Banned from the Zoo) for allowing us to mix with their tracks.
I'm pretty new to mixing and am using Reason 8.3 along with a handful of additional rack extensions (plugins) through a balance IO and a set of Rokit 8 G3's for monitoring (as well as a set of AKG 271 mark 2s)
I struggled a bit with the sibilance but found that by removing too much it just didn't sound the same so managed to tame it down a bit to the point that I still liked the vocal sound.
Also let the snare be a bit loose as I liked the brushlike sound more than a tighter version and left the timing issues alone (I kind of like it like that :-))
