Hey Don - man you've managed to generate a lot of urgency with your drums. Makes for a rollicking good ride, especially as the song builds towards the final solo and close. Nice. Maybe the snare rim shots during the intro could come down a bit - Its hard to tell as I'm listening in cans but I'm having problems listening to them with the volume cranked. Cheers, Simon RE: James May: 'Hold On You' - thedon - 18-08-2015 (17-08-2015, 02:02 PM)HbGuitar Wrote:Thanks Simon(17-08-2015, 12:39 PM)thedon Wrote: Here is Version 1 of this lovely song ,needs more work any advice welcome ! Yes im finding the the snare is real challenge, I will keep on working on it ! Cheers RE: James May: 'Hold On You' - Olli H - 26-08-2015 I like it. Nice sound, good balances. Somethings came to my mind: Something brute with snare sound. I wonder if the drummer is hitting too hard the snare when compared to the touch of guitars. I wonder if the stereo effect (modulation?) in bass is too strong now? Just a little bit less, and the bass would be more focused and in the same sonic space. RE: James May: 'Hold On You' - Cudjoe - 28-08-2015 Hi thedon nice vibe the only thing I would say is the rim hits at the beginning is a little loud, well done. RE: James May: 'Hold On You' - Nos - 03-09-2015 Cool . Like the balance across everything. Its quite a narrow mix for my taste I would pan things out a bit more even though the el. gtr does widen things a bit toward the end. Also I think the reverb combined with the narrow stereo is pushing everything into the distance a bit. Having said that I think you've achieved a good illusion of a room RE: James May: 'Hold On You' - thedon - 03-09-2015 (03-09-2015, 08:14 AM)Nos Wrote: Cool . Like the balance across everything.
