RE: The Dice mix atempt - Jimdolorian - 13-11-2016 Hello =) I wasnt satisfied with my first mix, so i made another one. Let me know what you think ! RE: The Dice mix atempt - Shul - 14-11-2016 Definitely better than the other one you had. things that stand out to me: You are using too much bottom snare.. so it's missing that snap and punch of a real snare. and the other is the highs on the overheads are a lil too much. they sound to over processed in a bad way. all in all definitely an improvement over the previous ones. good job. RE: The Dice mix atempt - Jimdolorian - 15-11-2016 Thanks for passing by ! You are right, i need to fix that snare and OHs. I think it needs a bit of automation too, i'll go back to it. RE: The Dice mix atempt - orthogonalrecords - 17-12-2016 Hi! I completely agree with Shul on the snare and overheads. Additionally I would say that the mix would deserve more energy in general. This is a quite strong and energetic song, so from a musical point of view I would try to carry over that energy into the mix. Bigger in every aspect might be a good description. Especially the guitars are lacking that energy at least in some parts - it's better in the mid-section. I hope you know what I mean and it helps. Best, Markus RE: The Dice mix atempt - Jimdolorian - 19-12-2016 Hi ! I see what you mean, i'll keep that in mind next time i mix it ! Thanks for listening ! |
