RE: Avalon-All I know - Bold Beagle - 22-07-2015 Hey mate, listened to version 3. As a matter of personal taste, it seems like some of the body of the lead vocal sound was sacrificed for the sake of the bass. Personally (not being familiar with the tracks), I'd scoop the bass a couple db (at most) with a rather broad bell centered somewhere around 300-400 to make a little room for a meatier vocal sound, assuming the tracked vocal supports that idea. Maybe also a bit more emphasis in the upper harmonics during the instrumental sections, which could cut through the guitars just a little more for my taste. Guitar sound as a whole is great. Really nice, solid wall, but still very musical. Not harsh for me at all. Also really digging your FX treatment on the vocal. Spot on, very well placed on the front to back dimension. Good stuff, mate. Bold Beagle RE: Avalon-All I know - thedon - 23-07-2015 (22-07-2015, 06:24 PM)Bold Beagle Wrote: Hey mate, listened to version 3. Thanks RE: Avalon-All I know - azwayne - 18-10-2015 Listening to V3... Good bass tone there. I like hearing a lot of the attack. It definitely fits the tune. Think the guitars up front are perhaps a tad too loud. Might want to go through your lead VOX track and try adding some automation to shape some of the phrases. (Giving it a bit of a lift up front and the like in order to add a little energy.) In the backing tracks, for example, "ALL" is plenty strong but "For" could use a slight boost. Cheers for the feedback RE: Avalon-All I know - thedon - 27-02-2016 Here is Version 4 Cheers RE: Avalon-All I know - Konek - 14-08-2016 Hello, Don That's very litenable mix for me. I liked balance between gutars, keyb and bass. The drums sounds like early 80's! Sometimes the side drum track too bright for my taste. Well Done!
